Our Team

Rev. Michelle McCarty is an ordained elder with over 20 years of service in the Oklahoma Conference of the United Methodist Church, and a lifetime of dedication to compassionate ministry. Her call to pastoral work began long before ordination—Michelle has been actively engaged in ministry since 1985, serving in a wide range of transformative roles including chaplaincy, prison ministry, spiritual direction, ecumenical healing ministries, and as a staff leader coordinating more than 700 volunteers in pastoral care, counseling, spiritual guidance, and healing outreach.

Michelle earned her Master of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology, where she also served as an intern with the Interfaith Council of Dallas. During her time with the Council, she developed programs designed to foster mutual understanding and respect among diverse faith traditions, facilitated interfaith dialogue sessions, and participated in international peace talks focused on Palestinian-Israeli relations.

Rev. McCarty’s ministry is deeply rooted in relationship-building. She is passionate about interfaith and ecumenical engagement, restorative and social justice, peacemaking, and reconciliation ministries—both within the United Methodist Church and in the broader connectional community. She brings this heart for healing and connection to her work as a Certified Spiritual Director and Retreat Leader, where she guides individuals and groups through spiritual growth, discernment, and wholeness.

Outside of ministry, Michelle enjoys traveling, hiking, e-biking, and reading, always seeking new ways to experience God’s presence in the world around her.
