At Eufaula First United Methodist Church, we are grounded in the rich tradition of the United Methodist faith, but we also recognize that each local church lives out that faith in a unique way. Our vision, mission, and values reflect the specific needs and heart of our community here in Eufaula, and they guide how we worship, serve, and grow together.
As we move into the fall, we will be prayerfully shaping and refining these guiding principles through our participation in “Creating a Culture of Renewal” and in alignment with the new vision and initiatives being introduced by the Oklahoma Conference of the United Methodist Church. We look forward to sharing more soon as our local church identity continues to take shape with purpose and hope.
The Oklahoma Conference of the United Methodist Church is now part of a newly unified body that brings together the Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Indian Missionary Conferences into ONE regional conference, under the visionary leadership of Bishop Laura Merrill. This historic alignment reflects a renewed commitment to connectional ministry, shared mission, and the inclusive spirit of Methodism.
As part of this exciting transition, the Conference will be unveiling a new logo, vision, and belief statements throughout the summer and fall of 2025. These resources will help guide and support local churches—including Eufaula First UMC—as we live out our calling in bold, faithful, and culturally rooted ways.
More information will be shared here as it becomes available, and we look forward to aligning with this refreshed vision for the future of our church and our conference.
As part of the global body of the United Methodist Church, Eufaula First UMC embraces a mission and vision that unites us with congregations around the world:
“The mission of the United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.”
This mission is lived out through worship, service, discipleship, and connectional ministry that reaches both local communities and global partners.
The vision of the UMC calls us to go even deeper:
“The United Methodist Church forms disciples of Jesus Christ who, empowered by the Holy Spirit, love boldly, serve joyfully, and lead courageously in local communities and worldwide connections.”
Rooted in grace and shaped by Wesleyan tradition, the United Methodist Church is a movement of people growing in faith and actively working to bring Christ’s love, justice, and hope to the world.
